
Roger TAYLOR Obituary
Roger Leonard Taylor passed away on February 10, 2024.
He was born September 6, 1961, to Gayle Grilley and Robert L. Taylor.
He graduated from Mead High School served in the US Army and had other adventures before graduating from Whitworth University and becoming a Drug and Alcohol counselor. He obtained a master's degree in Education from Whitworth, began his teaching career at Deer Park High School and coached tennis at Mt. Spokane and East Valley High Schools. One of his greatest accomplishments was being honored as High School tennis coach of the year for the Greater Spokane League Sports Association. Roger was also a gifted guitarist and songwriter. Far from perfect, Roger lived a full life and is now in Heaven jamming with Skynyrd and playing tennis.
Roger is survived by his mother, his most avid supporter and caregiver Gayle Ray; brother, Steve (Kim) Taylor; nephews, Garret and Griffin Taylor; brother, Mike Taylor; and his biggest fan, little brother, Thomas Taylor.
Rest easy, Roger, and know that you were deeply loved.

I used to run around with Roger and Robbie McAlpin in the very early 70s. Kind of wild times but man were they fun. LOL I tried tracking Roger down throughout the years and really regret not being able to sit and have a talk about the old days. I was very surprised to see all of his accomplishments, What a life!!!
